Dalia Gesser

Creative Drama, Mime, Mask,
Clown and Circus skills

Dalia Gesser
entertained audiences from 1980-2000, under the name Compact Theatre, with her delightfully original one woman children’s shows combining mime, mask, clown and circus skills. She toured throughout Ontario until 1992, under the auspices of Prologue to the Performing Arts, performing at numerous children's venues including schools, libraries, theatres and festivals. Throughout that time she also organized workshops and classes in the disciplines of creative drama, mime, mask, clown and circus. After relocating to the Greater Kingston Area in 1992, Dalia set up a management division and continued to perform her one-woman shows, as well as teach her theatre arts workshops, with great success. In 2000 she began channeling her interests and energies solely towards educating a new generation of performance in the arts offering workshops and classes to children and adults. She has been the recipient of many Ontario Arts Council ‘Artists in Education’ Grants.
