Patty Smith

Voice

Want to sing in the musicals? Interested in developing a strong technique for singing jazz, cabaret, show tunes and art music, all resting on a solid classical foundation? Patty Smith brings a rich background of vocal training to the studio; from her Honours Vocal Performance Diploma (Humber College Jazz Program) to her extensive classical studies (Queen's University, Toronto Conservatory) as well as close work with a variety of voice professionals in Toronto and Kingston. Her years in Toronto Dinner Theatre have inspired a love of cabaret and good, theatrical singing, which she has continued to pursue with her small local groups (The Swelltones, Soiree, The Boca Trio), some Kingston productions (notably as Katisha in The Mikado and Queen Winter in The Icicle Princess), and various recording projects for composers, both in Toronto and Kingston.
