The commitment of Upper Canada Academy of Performing Arts is to provide outstanding preparation in music and the performing arts. Every student receives encouragement to achieve his or her potential. The Academy provides a solid and inspiring performing arts education which consists of significant breadth inside and outside the studio. Individual vocal and instrumental instruction, choirs (children's, youth, special needs and adult), instrumental ensembles, music theory, history, composition and arranging, dance, puppet theatre courses and more offer participants in Academy programs the opportunity to observe, work with and perform with other students and faculty.

Academy faculty represent a broad range of expertise and experience. UCA Faculty perform and compose music professionally, write, produce and perform professional puppet theatre works, correograph and perform in professional dance productions, and bring significant academic expertise.

Academy curriculum and teaching methods have been developed to actively engage students in the creative process, to instill a passion for learning and creating, leading students to think independently and to create cooperatively.
